Narendra Modi in Nepal Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Nepal today to attend the fourth conference of ‘Bay of Bengal Initiative for Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation’ (BIMSTEC) in Kathmandu. BIMSTEC is the organization of countries adjacent to the Bay of Bengal. At the beginning of the program, BIMSTEC leaders will jointly meet the President of the Conference, President of India, Vidya Devi Bhandari, today. This afternoon it will be a full session. At the same time, there will be a cultural program and dinner at night. On the following day i.e. on August 31, there will be meetings and meetings of leaders of member countries and in the afternoon, will be the concluding session of VIMTech. After the conference, a joint declaration will also be issued.

11:00 AM IST- In the BIMSTEC, among member countries, the issues related to security, drug trafficking, cybercrime besides trade and connectivity among terrorists will be discussed. And emphasis will be on strengthening mutual cooperation.

10:45 AM IST- At 10.50 in the morning, BIMSTEC leaders will meet the President of United Nepal, Lord Devi Bhandari.

10:31 AM IST- Lunch will be held at 11.45 pm at Sheetal residence.

10:00 AM IST- During the BIMSTEC conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also meet Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina. Both national leaders will be seen in front of the National Citizenship Register in Assam ie the National Hearing Against the NRC.

9:30 AM IST- BIMSTEC consists of seven countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The total population of the countries included is 1.5 billion, in terms of the world, it is 21 percent. The total GDP of the countries involved in this group is $ 2500 billion. The Bimstec conference is going on two years later, before that the Bimstec Conference was held in Goa in India.
