Godwar is the most oldest festival which is celebrated in Udaipur. This festival is celebrated for two days. This year this festival will be celebrated on March 18 and March 19. This festival is celebrated with great pomp and show. Many cultural events take place. This festival is followed by many rituals of Rajasthani people. This festival represents the complete art forms and religion of this region i.e. Godwar situated in the Pali district of Rajasthan. This festival is organised by the District Administration Pali and Department of Tourism. People come from far off places to witness this festival.

Tradition of Rajasthan is portrayed through dance and other art forms. In this festival different types of rides like bullock cart rides, horse race, and wildlife safari also takes place. Turban tying and tug of war also takes place. These are some of the things that take place and adds to the excitement of the festival. The time span of this festival is two to three days and basically this festival is celebrated in Ranakpur, it is a famous Jain temple. This festival marks a huge importance in rural areas of the state. The festival starts with a folk dance and the regional songs of the place.

The venue of the event is Narwania Lake. All the performances are done in the area near it. Traditional sports activities are also performed. Bhajans are the cultural songs that add light to it. This festival is the festival where one can easily see the tradition of the state and this festival is celebrated with different shows and events. India will witness this festival on March 18 and March 19. People will come from different corners of India to witness this festival. This festival is not only auspicious for people of Rajasthan but also for the people who are living far off places.
