Narendra Modi spoke at the ceremony for the inauguration of the New Building of Western Court Annexe. He first congratulated Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, and said that she works tirelessly for the well being of the MPs. He then talked about how, when the MP’s are first elected, they have to stay at hotels, which is frowned upon by some people, but what they’re not aware about, is that some MP’s overstay in their designated rooms. Modi also talked about the two place in Delhi, which are related to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, on whom the Vajpayee Government had made some important decisions.
He continued that it was a privilege for the government to work on those places, and to pay tribute to Ambedkar. Modi also said that he works on the ideologies of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and the core of them is harmony and togetherness. It is their mission to work for the poorest of poor.
The Prime Minister also wished all the athletes a very good luck on twitter, writing, “All the best to the athletes representing India at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games! Our sportspersons have worked tremendously hard and the Games will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talent. Every Indian is cheering for our contingent.” Common wealth are going to begin today in Australia. India has a good record for scoring medals in the games, and with the presence of sports people like Mirabai Chanu and the Badminton players, it could be another good year for the country.
When they are newly elected, MPs have to stay in hotels and this makes headlines. However, what we often miss is that previous occupants overstay beyond the designated time, which is incorrect: PM @narendramodi
