Honour Killing of innocent Dalit man Shankar gets justice- Father-in-law and other six to get death.

Honour killing of the Dalit guy, Shankar who was brutally attacked by the three people in Udumalpet, as the reason of tieing the knot of marriage with Thevar community girl, Kausalya,  has been sentenced to death today by U. Sankaranarayanan who was appointed as the Special Prosecutor for the case. Girls’ father who was the biggest culprit of the case has been sentenced to death with five other people of the family.
The case is four years old where after attacking the couple brutally by three people on March 13, 2013, in Udumalpet. Where Shankhar, Kausalya’s husband bleed to death on the way to the hospital, but Kausalya managed to survive and fought back for her right. The Tirupur court on Tuesday accused all the eleven convicted people, which includes Kausalya’s father Chinnaswamy, maternal uncle and other relatives for murdering the innocent Shankar in Udumalaipet.
The innocent were in love during their engineering studies in Pollachi. And soon after they tied the knot against their family members awareness. Though a lot of opposition was there from both the sides, as they belonged to the different caste, Shankar was Dalit and Kausalya from Thevar community. And thus the fire spread among the family and society. In fact, the Kausalya has blamed her family for the death of innocent Shankar. Where she also revealed that a big amount of rupees was offered to Shankar if they get separated. Though the trial of the case was completed in November 2017, and the court further posted the case on December 12th for the verdict.
