Karan Malhotra, who has made Agneepath and Brothers for Dharma Productions has reportedly signed a three film deal with YRF as his highly ambitious project Shuddhi never took off with Dharma and he has not made a single film since Brothers which was a superhit at the box office. His debut directorial Agneepath starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra has gained the cult status upon the release and turned out to be a blockbuster on the box office. Karan finally moved to YRF and signed a 3 film deal with production giant Aditya Chopra.
Apparently he has roped in prolific Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead in his upcoming film. Vaani Kapoor has also signed a three film deal with YRF out of she has already done two by the name of Shuddh Desi Romance and Befikre. She is playing the film lead in another YRF film which stars Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan in it and will release on Gandhi Jayanti weekend in 2019. Ranbir’s upcoming release is his most awaited film so far which is dearly known as Sanjay Dutt biopic though it does not have a title as of yet. This one is being directed by blockbuster director Rajkumar Hirani, who directed Ranbir previously in a cameo in his last film PK otherwise starring Aamir Khan in the lead role.
Teaser or trailer of Dutt biopic is not out yet but apparently Ranbir has shown the trailer to Amitabh Bachchan and he was very appreciative of it. Currently Ranbir is in Bulgeria shooting for his most ambitious film to date by the name of Brahamastra. Perhaps the first time in Hindi cinema, a producer announced a trilogy even before the first part began shooting and such is the trust Karan Johar has on his director Ayan Mukherjee, who has previously made two films with Ranbir by the name of Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
