Indu Sarkar new poster out: Madhur Bhandarkar makes his comeback

Indu Sarkar, a movie directed by Madhur Bhandarkar released its first look poster today. If we go by the look of the poster which features Kirti Kulhari, Anupam Kher and Tota Roy Choudhary, then the movie seems to be based on our nation and its related issues.

The film is said to be based on the Emergency, a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had a state of emergency declared across the country. Indu Sarkar also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh in a pivotal role. If rumours are to be believed then we can say that the actor’s character is loosely inspired by Sanjay Gandhi.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh also Tweeted about the poster release of the movie

Kirti Kulhari plays the role of a poetress in the movie who have a speech problem. Kirti thinks that the script of the movie Indu Sarkar is ideal for her. The director of the film Madhur Bhandarkar also said to have met Subramanian Swamy and exchanged his knowledge on the Emergency period with him.

The name of the movie is also on the verge of controversy as it is believed that the movie will not have a direct reference to the late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The film is said to be shot in the backdrop of Delhi and many other places like Mumbai and Pune. The director who is known for his National Award winning, Madhur Bhandarkar has planned to wrap up the movie in 35 to 40 days.

Through this movie, for the first time music composers Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri will be coming together to create music for Indu Sarkar. The movie is set to hit the theatres on 28th July.
