Hindi Medium movie which features Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar seems to win the heart of million people as the movie is doing well in its box office collections. The movie is reported to earn Rs 1.50 crore on its third Friday. The total collection of the movie is said to be Rs 53.60 crores.
The movie revolves around a middle class family who are from Hindi Medium background as in they have done their schooling and college in Hindi medium school. But they want their only daughter to be taught in English medium school. They struggle to get their daughter’s admission in top five English medium schools but stay aback because of their weak English.
The film emphasizes how Hindi as a language is looked down upon by English speaking people and the commercialization of the education system. Hindi Medium clashed at the box office with Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s Jattu Engineer

The movie is said to be a remake of a Bengali movie with the titular Ramdhanu. The movie can be said a remake as the storyline is almost the same. So we can say that the movie did well in the box-office. We can also say that Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan did justice to their roles in the movie.
