Bihar RJD’s Chief Lalu Yadav convicted in another fodder scam by the court in Ranchi. It is the third Chara Ghotala in which Lalu convicted. As per the reports, the special CBI court will pronounce the verdict today over Lalu Yadav convicting in another fodder scam. The court has accused 56 others along with RJD Chief Lalu Yadav and the former Chief Minister of Bihar Jagannath Mishra in another fodder scam. Another fodder scam has pertained to the fraudulent of around Rs. 33,67 crores during 1992-1993 from the Chaibasa district.
Presently, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is lodged in the Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi after getting convicted for around 3.5 years in the RC 64(A) fodder scam case on 23rd December 2017. Earlier, Lalu was convicted in the scam of the Deoghar treasury. And on 6th January 2018, the special CBI Judge Shiv Pal Singh pronounced the quantum of punishment against Lalu Prasad Yadav. However, Lalu has appealed to Ranchi high court against his conviction in the fodder scam case. Earlier, on 30th September 2013, Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted in another fodder scam. Also, he had barred from contesting elections for six periods. Later on, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav got bail from the higher court. As per the reports, now Lalu is facing trials in total six fodder scam cases.
According to the reports, out of total 76 accused in this fodder scam, 14 have died during the period of trial and three have become approvers while two get pleaded guilty and one is absconding. Now, the 56 accused left in fodder scam which included six politicians, three former IAS officers, 40 suppliers of the department and six officials of the animal husbandry department are facing trial in the court. As per the reports, the CBI counsel BMP Singh said that special CBI judge SS Prasad is expected to pronounce the judgement in another fodder scam on Wednesday.
