Lakshmi/Laxmi puja is observed at Diwali festival during Sthir lagna of pradosh Kaal. Paradosh Kaal comes after sunset and remains for 2hours 30 min on this Diwali. Hindu people decorate their homes, temples, and offices with lights and rangoli for Lakshmi Puja. according to Hindu Mythology, it is believed that on this day Goddess Lakshmi came out during the churning of the milky ocean. Rangoli art is done to welcome Goddess Lakshmi and considered as very auspicious on Diwali festival. People observe Lakshmi puja and believe that Mata Lakshmi blesses them with wealth and stay in their house for long.

Lakshmi Pujan Vidhi
On Diwali people decorate their homes and offices with lights, flowers and leaves of Ashoka, mango, and banana for Lakshmi Puja. Keeping Kalash with unpeeled coconut in the house temple is considered as auspicious for Lakshmi Pujan. Place a red cloth on the platform and place Idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together. Keep roli, moli, paan leaf, clove, cardamom, supari, Kapoor, dhup, deep, flowers and Ganga jal in puja thali. Also prepare Panchamrit with milk, yogurt, ghee, honey and Ganga jal.
Firstly give snan to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, then offer red cloth to them. Offer sindur, lotus flower and Paan with Supari Clove and Cardamom. Offer panchamrit and Laddoo as a Prashad. Chant mantra and offer aarti to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.
