H-1B Visa: Sushma Swaraj again raises concerns over Visa issue with US Secretary Tillerson

India has again raised the H-1B visa issue with the US. As per the reports, on Wednesday the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has once again raised India’s concern over the H-1B visa regulations with the US Secretary of the State Rex Tillerson. The external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj discussed this issue of H-1B visa issue with US secretary and again requested not to take action that may adversely affect Indians. During the US congressional delegation from the House Committee on Science, technology and space, she following up on the issue regularly along with US authorities in October on the sidelines of the UN general assembly.

The US President Donald Trump called for some strict norms in issuing H-1B visas that adversely affect the Indian IT firms who send their large number of employees t work onsite in America. Indians make up for nearly two-third visa applicants across the world. Earlier Arun Jaitley raised this concern over the H-1B visa with the US in his meeting.

H1-B visa is a non-immigrants visa that allows all the American companies to recruit the foreign workers with special occupations. Recently the US president Trump restricts the H-1B visa as a part of his policy to provide more priority to Americans. In the wake of this decision, several Indian authorities have raised the concern over the H-1B visa issue.
