Gurugram Namaz case: All fine after 3 days, Namaz will be followed tomorrow

After the three days, Namaz issue–which was occurred in Gurugram on 20 April 2018 has been almost resolved, and it is assuming that Namaz will take place on the same place on tomorrow at Friday, May 4, 2018, Sector-53 where it all happened. On 20th April, around 500 Muslim men had gathered for namaaz in a field(which they used regularly) owned by the Haryana government in Sector 53, several Hindu residents and the local public from the neighbouring villages disrupted their prayers, and started shouting “Jai Sri Ram”. A person posted a video of the incident had later surfaced on social media, following which Gurugram police arrested six people for hurting religious sentiments.

Now it’s show time… Then, on Monday 30 April 2018, a local Hindutva Group(only Gurugram Based) Hindutva group called the Sanyukt Hindu Sangharsh Samiti protested outside the district collector’s office demanding that the leading authorities put a permanent stop to prayers organised by Muslims in open spaces in the vicinity of Hindu-dominated neighbourhoods. The protesters’ community comprised local units of 12 Right-wing Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Kranti Dal, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Shiv Sena, The Bajrang Dal, Hindu Jagran Manch, Bharat Bachao Abhiyan and Gurugram Sanskritik Gaurav Samiti, according to its members. However, all six people were got bail on Sunday.

Today, on 3rd May 2018, our journalist went to the place and talked to the local members near the location. Suraj Khan, a fruit seller, who was active in the namaz on 20th April said, we are not worried, Police management is cooperating with us, we are praying Namaz on this ground since last five years, and we didn’t face any communal issue before 20th May.

Recently, there are 22 mosques in Gurgaon at present, and Gurgaon’s Muslims gathers for Friday prayers in an estimated 106 open spaces. There are two mosques in the neighbourhood of this location– one is around 5 km away, and the other is around 8 km away from this location. Mohammad Junaid, who runs a Vegetable shop said that the Sector 53 ground was the second open space in Gurgaon at which Muslims began to conduct Friday prayers.

Basically, there are two police namely Sec-43 and Sec-53 station between the Sec-53 Namaz Praying Place, but this location doesn’t come under Sec-43 range and that’s why their police-officers didn’t talk a single word when our journalist asked a question to them related to Namaz issue.

Now on, tomorrow Namaz will be praying as per regular schedule, according to one of the Sec-53 Police Station member, but it is still suspenseful that will it be prayed under the police protection or not? For latest updates, read our articles daily, you can get more information on Newsfolo.com
