DUSU Election 2018; CYSS-AISA join hands together, NSUI-ABVP still single

As the election of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) is coming closer, the campus politics has started getting hot. Student Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party, Chatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) and Left Students’ Association All India Students’ Association (AISA) are contesting together this time. The decision to fight with both have made the Dusu election triangular this time. Many students believe that over the years, the record of ABVP and NSUI in DUSU is getting a tough challenge from AISA and CYSS in 2018 DUSU Elections. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the decision to come together of AICC and CYSS, says that alliance will be the beginning of positive politics in University of Delhi. But, on the other hand, the decision of the party high command has started the opposition within the CYSS. A former CYSS secretary, AYUSH Pandey, member of the CYSS and DUSU has expressed resentment on this decision. Many more students have also said that this decision of the party is a wrong step.

These students, who are protesting against the alliance with AISA, have said that the party’s top leadership has forced CYSS to made an alliance with Left Parties. After the negligence policy in Higher level, student politics is also being strangled. Some students have expressed their reaction to the social media, saying that the CYSS has decided to join hands with an organization whose president and members have already filed a case of tampering in JNU.

At the same time, CYSS says that there is no displeasure about the alliance with the AISA. Along with AISA, “The same students are committing a ruckus, which for the last several years the party students are not active in Politics“. The allegation of tampering with the President and members of AISA is now out of date, there is no connection with the alliance.

This time the top-agendas of DUSU Election 2018 are metro passes, construction of new hostels, special bus in campus, increase in the number of counter for buses, CCTV in campus and demand for the scholarship for SC / ST students in a major way. Being raised on. On one hand, where the ABVP is scheduling rally in University Campus, the NSUI is filling up to win four seats this time. In the campus, for the past few days, the prospect of a candidate for the ticket claiming is also being seen.
