BJP MLA Lokendra Singh dies in Uttar Pradesh Road Accident

Lokendra Singh, who was the Noorpur (BJP) legislator from Bijnore, died in a car accident today. He was travelling for the ‘Investors Meet’ in Lucknow, that is going to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but his Fortuner SUV slammed with a truck  that was coming from the opposite direction at Kakaiyyapara. Lokendra Singh and his driver both died at the spot of the accident, while the policemen who were accompanying them died during treatment at the hospital. Modi was saddened by the news, and wrote on his twitter, “Anguished by the demise of BJP MLA from Noorpur, Shri Lokendra Singh Ji due to an accident. His service towards society and role in building the BJP in UP will always be remembered. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of grief.”

Brijesh Mishra, 28, and Deepak Kumar, 30 were the police gunners who lost their lives in the accident.

Other’s have also contributed their condolences to the family, as Pankaj Singh, the General Scretary of BJP, Uttar Pradesh, Noida, said on twitter, “Extremely unfortunate and great loss. Deeply saddened at the demise of young & dynamic Lokendra Singh ji, BJP MLA from Bijnor’s Noorpur, who lost his life in a road accident in Sitapur. May God help the bereaved family with enough strength to bear this loss.” There wasn’t any other reason of the crash, other than the truck slamming into the car, and destroying its body, which caused the two people to die on the spot and severe injuries to the other two.
