Vikram Vedha starring R.Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles, is a highly anticipated movie in the tamil film land of Kollywood. The first song Tasakku Tasakku from the film’s music album was released this morning at around 10 AM amidst great anticipation. Tasakku Tasakku has been composed by Sam C.S. and sung by Mukesh, M.L.R. Karthikeyan, Guna and Chorus. Muthamil has penned the lyrics. The catchy and massy track is sure to make it to the top chartbusters list. A lot of the fans have termed it as the “Bar Anthem” of the year on social media.
Vikram Vedha and its genre is described as ‘neo noir action crime thriller’ by its makers and is a modern day portrayal of the famous Vikram- Betaal folk tale stories. The plot of the film dives into the lives of an encounter specialist police officer I.P.S Vikram played by Madhavan and a terrorizing North Madras gangster named Vedha played by Vijay Sethupathi. The film has been written and directed by the duo Pushkar and Gayathri. Apart from Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and John Vijay as the supporting cast.
Actor Madhavan who will be seen sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi for the first time, has reportedly undergone special arms training for his character. The lean physique being sported by the actor has met with an encouraging response, especially after being seen bulked up in most of his films of late.
The film has been produced by S. Sashikanth and Y Not Studios and will be distributed by Trident Arts. The film is slated for release on July 7 2017. Catch a teaser of the film below:
