Sridevi was in Dubai for the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah, where she danced her heart out and looked very joyful in the pictures. On the night of 24 February she had a fainting episode in bathroom from where she was taken to hospital immediately. Sridevi was pronounced dead on arrival as the cardiac arrest was massive and there was no recovery from it. She went there with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi, while her elder daughter Jhanvi stayed back in Mumbai as she was shooting for debut film Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter.

Boney and Khushi arrived from Dubai a few days ago though Sridevi stayed back and now she is no more. Sanjay Kapur came back from Dubai in the early hours but immediately rushed back as soon as he got the news. cardiac arrest happened at around 11 in the night and not much later she was no more. Sridevi was Boney’s second wife and technically Arjun Kapoor is her step son. She married Boney in 1996 and in 1997 she left the films because she wanted to raise her daughter without any disturbance of work schedules.

Sri started acting in films at the age of 4 and provide bacon to the family from that time. She was on the peak of her career, when all of a sudden she decided to quit and came back to films only in 2012 with Gauri Shinde directorial ‘English Vinglish’. Since than she only did 3 films including a Tamil film called ‘Puli’ in 2015 with Thalapathy Vijay in the lead. She did not rush back to films or fame and instead wore her second innings very lightly. Her last film was released in 2017 by the name of ‘Mom’ in which she co-starred with Akshay Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddique. Last time her face will be visible on silver screen is Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’, where she has a brief cameo playing herself.
