Christmas week of 2018 will witness some really big releases on Indian silver screen. Superstar Shahrukh Khan will release his upcoming film ‘Zero’ on 21 December to cash in on the Christmas time of the year, while Ranveer Singh’s Simba is suppose to release on 28 December and take advantage of New year. Salman Khan is currently shooting for his film Race 3 and will release it on EID but makers of his next film are planning to avoid clash with Shahrukh on box office and instead release Dabangg 3 with Simba.
Zero is one of the most awaited film of the year but after Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh is a big deal as well and clashing with his film which is directed by Rohit Shetty is not the wisest decision but still better than messing with Shahrukh because he can surprise anytime with a true blockbuster. Dabangg 3 is a franchise which is already very celebrated in Indian diaspora while other two films are the first of their kind moreover Salman is the biggest star in the country right now. All he has to do is repeat his routine and the film will be a blockbuster which is not a guarantee with Shahrukh or Ranveer.
Whoever’s film releases with Salman should ideally consider moving because if Dabangg 3 is anything like Dabangg than absolutely nothing would stand a chance against him. Simba is the story of an entertaining cop, which is the remake of a Telugu film called Temper starring NTR Jr. in the lead role. Temper was a superhit because of it’s mass appeal but it did not release with a Salman Khan film otherwise it would have been severely harmed. Ranveer has a brilliant line up of films after Simba as he will be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, which will release ob 14 February 2019 and later as Kapil Dev.
