Manasuku Nachindi, directed by Manjula Ghattamaneni, and starring Sundeep Kishan, Amyra Dastur, Tridha Chaudhary among others is a passionate lovestory that should be seen by everyone who wants to see an unconventional tale of love that is beautifully made and acted with subtlety and feeling. The movie is about a girl who runs from her marriage, meets a young man, who is unsure what to do in love, and they kind of fall in love, but the movie never bludgeons the audiences with the message of the movie or why people fall for each in the first place.
The direction by Manjula is restrained, but she knows how to use compose beautiful shots, with particular care for lighting and and framing. The actors, however, are the best thing about the movie, as they are so charismatic that they will make you root for them, even if their decisions are not always wise and they can come out as being unlikable.
Sundeep Kishan is wonderful as the lead, who knows little about what he wants with life, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying it to the fullest. And Amyra is even better, as she holds her own against him, with grace and expert handling of emotional moments. Some of the best moment in the movie belong only to her. There are many reasons to watch the movie, one of which is that it tells its story with simplicity and with minimal histrionics. It is highly recommended.
