Mahesh Babu starrer Bharat Ane Nenu had blockbuster written all over it since the time of it’s first mass promo and it has come true. This film has broken Mahesh’s bad spell of movies for past few years and has emerged victorious on the box office. Film banked a massive 55 crores on the opening day itself worldwide which is one of the highest of all time. Since the word of mouth around the film is quite extraordinary, the number is bound to go up only over a period of 3 weeks to say the least.
Babu has the most loyal fan base of all who were genuinely yearning for his film to show up and be good, which is certainly the case here. His last good film was in 2011 by the name of ‘Srimanthudu’ again directed by Siva Koratala. Since than he has had several disasters by the name of ‘Brahamotsavam’ and ‘Spyder’ but those days are far gone now. Something extremely unbelievable with Babu is that everytime he delivers a flop his market somehow goes up. Even after such humongous flops, his film has taken a gigantic opening which is rather amusing.
In the larger scheme of things one may say that audience is always rooting for their prince and they really want him to do a good film which is why they show up big on the first day first show not even knowing how his film is going to turn out. After delivering flops most people don’t get openings but if the film is good the collection increases on the second or third day but Babu is rocking them numbers on the very first day itself. This film will be one of the biggest hit of his career so far downsizing many others like ‘Okkadu’ and perhaps ‘Pokiri’ as well.
