Speculations around Aamir’s Mahabharata are coming in from all sorts of ways as no formal announcement is made by superstar himself. Apparently, Aamir’s Mahabharata is a five film adaptation being mounted as India’s biggest Magnum Opus. It will take at least 3 years from the first day of shooting to make five films of that grandeur. Speculations are that Aamir has offered an important role to his dear nephew Imran Khan, who has not signed a film in 2 years and clearly the best offers might not be coming his way.
After the disastrous result of Katti Batti, Imran is on an over extended paternity leave and is not even in solid talks with any film maker to come back to silver screen. In many ways, Imran has had the most pathetic career in Hindi films lately amongst the ones that did not end immediately. Except his first film, he was never applauded for any of his performance but rather criticized for his restricted display of any personality on screen though he looked good which gave him a fan following among young ladies but any thinking person would not exactly prefer his films.
It could be anybody’s dream to get a job in an Aamir Khan film especially if the project is that big and an opportunity like this would not come for Imran knocking on his door. If he brushes up his acting skills, he could be an advantage to this film but Aamir is not the one to compromise on the quality of his film for anyone. Both films which Amir produced for Imran have proven to be cults by the name of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa and Delhi Belly other than that Amir could not deliver a decent performance in many films that eh participated in even with a fantastic director like Vishal Bhardwaj.
