Mumbai Rains Updates: Heavy thundershowers and lightning disrupt flights; No traffic and waterlogging

Mumbai weather is cloudy today with heavy thundershowers and lightning across the city. Mumbai rains are continued heavily from last two days, lightning and thunderstorms affected most parts of Mumbai in the last evening. As per the reports, schools and colleges have closed due to this cloudy weather of Mumbai. And the downpour is expected to be continued for the next 24 hours, as per the IMD reports. In Mumbai, several regions received heavy rains including South Mumbai, Andheri, Kandivili, and Borivali. This weather slowed down traffic in the city and also affected the schedule of local trains.

Heavy rains lash up Mumbai for the second time after heavy flood and rains on 29 August 2017. On that day roads of Mumbai waterlogged and hit with massive water destruction. People of the city blamed BMC for mismanagement and for not alerting them with a loss of the heavy rains. And city hit with heavy rains, however, this time weather department, railways, BMC and other departments are prepared to face it.

Currently, the condition of Mumbai is normal as there is no traffic and waterlogging. And Suburban services also running on all lines of Western Railway from Churchgate to Dahanu Road while the eastern express traffic is clear. Although this weather has disrupted the flights. As there around 1600 meters, with winds of 12 knots of rainfall is visible across the city.
