Delhi Assembly session: AAP to demonstrates how EVM’s can be manipulated

Today AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj comes forward with what looks like a dummy voting machine. He will demonstrate how the voting machine can be successfully manipulated. The special Delhi Assembly session convened by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at 2 pm today which begins with Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, who paid tribute to the two jawans killed by Pakistan Border Action Team and the CRPF jawans killed in a Maoist ambush in Sukma. Members of the legislative assembly observe a minute’s silence in respect to the departed souls.

AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj said “People of India cannot be fooled. You cannot win 282 seats in UP. If a chip in petrol pump can be manipulated, EVMs too can be tampered with,”. He further added “When our candidates went to people to ask for votes, they said ‘We will give you vote. But do check the EVMs’”. Speaker Niwas Goel welcomes newly elected Rajouri Garden MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The AAP candidate lost his deposit and finished third, behind Congress in the recently concluded poll. Speaker Niwas Goel asks BJP MLA Vijender Gupta to leave from the Vidhan Sabha for disrupting the House proceedings. However, Gupta refuses. Then, the Marshals are summoned to drag Gupta out of the assembly. BJP MLA Vijendra Gupta said “why they are trying to divert the issue by talking about EVMs, why they don’t want to discuss corruption charges on Kejriwal?, why AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj to demonstrate to the House how EVMs can be manipulated. BJP MLAs try to stall assembly proceedings.

She further added Uttarakhand High Court has taken cognizance of the issue and ordered a probe of all the EVMs used in the state elections.”AAP got the historic mandate in 2015 assembly elections in Delhi. Nobody questioned AAP victory because people knew EVMs have not tampered. People showed trust in AAP. But it started UP elections”.“It is not the first time that questions were raised against the EVM after the election results in Uttar Pradesh came out, people began saying that they never voted for the BJP.”

Today in a morning Kejriwal tweeted where he promised to expose a “big conspiracy on an issue now raging in the country.” He said Mr Bhardwaj would make the revelation in the state assembly, as his party closed ranks around the Chief Minister, who has been accused of corruption by sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra. Mr Mishra visited the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) this morning to file complaints against his former boss.

AAP says Mr Mishra is making “wild and baseless allegations” because he was sacked as minister for non-performance. Satyendar Jain has denied Mr Mishra’s allegations and said he was not even present at the Chief Minister’s residence on the day Mr Mishra alleges he handed over the cash.
