Sachin Chhabra, better known for his roles in popular TV shows “Ek Ghar Banaunga”, “Niyati” and “Meri Doli Tere Angana Season 2”, is set to make his Bollywood debut with the movie “The Rally”, which will be released on Friday, to coincide with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The movie is about a racing rally that takes place in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and Chhabra plays Pappi, a garage owner, who wants to help his friend fulfill his lifelong dream of winning the rally. The leading lady is Shezali Sharma, who is the girlfriend and live in partner of Pappi.
The movie is mostly shot in Manali, and is being directed by Deepak N Anand and produced by Rohit Kumar. Anand has also cast the debutants Mirza and Arshin Mehta in this adrenaline rush of a movie. The new cast of actors is nothing new for the director as Anand has previously given breaks to stars such as Suniel Shetty in Balwaan (1992), Aditya Pancholi in Yaad Rakhegi Duniya (1992) and Aarti Chhabria in Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai (2002). Speaking about his new finds, Anand has expressed confidence that the actors will make their marks.
The movie itself is the first dramatization of the annual Himalayan Rally, and with the film shot mostly in the picturesque valleys in Himachal Pradesh, the movie will juxtapose the breathtaking natural beauty of the mountains with the thrill of racing cars. The trailer for the movie was launched three weeks ago at an event that also featured Suniel Shetty.
