While everybody went gaga over the red carpet appearances of Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, we recently had another Bollywood star at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival to unveil the first look poster of the desi remake of Rambo which originally starred Sylvester Stallone in the titular role.

Tiger Shroff shared a picture of him in Cannes on twitter. And also the first look at the film’s poster.

Sylvester Stallone who was initially said to be skeptical that the makers would “wreck it”, has expressed his support to the team through a series of Instagram posts. He first wrote “I read recently they are remaking Rambo in India !! .. Great character.. hope they don’t wreck it.”

A day later he shared, “Some people like to read into words and twist them.. good luck Tiger , go fight the good fight, keep punching ,oh , for the Record , I love it when young artists get an opportunity to go for their dreams!”

Adding, “I actually get excited in my heart whenever young artists get an rare opportunity to reach for the stars! Eye of the Tiger! I am sure you will put all of your heart and soul into it…Never give up young man!”

The remake is being directed by Siddharth Anand (of Bang Bang fame) and co-produced by M! Capital Ventures, Original Entertainment, Impact Films and Siddharth Anand Pictures. Principal photography for the film is slated to start in February, with a release targeted for late 2018.
