The last day of 18th IIFA awards 2017 has finally got over with the awards ceremony. It marks the rocking performances and fashionista looks of Bollywood stars. Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got their name for the Best Actors at the 18th edition of the IIFA Awards for their remarkable work in Udta Punjab. They both get emotional while winning the award for a film which made its way on the screen after fighting the censor board. The great actor cum singer Diljit Dosanjh has also won the best debut actor male for the movie Udta Punjab. He also tweeted “Love my fans. Guys this is all because of you. Thanks, team IIFA and Udta Punjab.”
On the other hand, the best picture award went to Neerja movie that is based on the real life incident in which the air hostess Neerja Bhanot lost her life while saving others on a hijacked flight at Karachi. The most popular actress Shabana Azmi has got an award for her best performance in a Supporting Role-female category for the Neerja movie and Jim Sarbh got for the Best Performance in a Negative role for Neerja. While Anupam Kher has got the best performance in a Supporting Role-Male category award for the movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and the actress Disha Patani got the best debutant – Female award for the same movie. The ace musician A.R. Rahman awarded for his 25 years of musical contribution.
