Today Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Kerala results are out over 4,55,906 regular students and 2,588 private students appeared for the SSLC exam 2017. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Kerala, in short, the class 10th Exams for Students of Kerala it is a certification obtained by a student on successful completion of the secondary schooling level in India. Students who qualify the SSLC exam are eligible for admission to a higher secondary school of their choice. Therefore, the SSLC is often regarded as the first important examination that a student undertakes.
The SSLC Results 2017 Kerala announced on May 5th at 2 pm by the Kerala state Board. The SSLC result 2017 was declared by the Minister for Education, Prof. C. Raveendranath at the Information & Public Relations Department (PRD Kerala) Government Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram. A total of 20,967 students has got A+ in all subjects (which is 4.6 per cent of the total students), while 1174 schools have scored 100 per cent pass percentage. Of these, 405 are government schools. Last year this figure was 377 only.
This exam was conducted in March at 2,933 centres in states and 9 centres in Lakshadweep and the Middle-East. About 4,55,906 regular students and 2,588 private students appeared for the SSLC exam. As per reports, 4.57 lakh students appeared in the SSLC examination in the state.
However, the results were delayed after the mathematics question paper was leaked and the exam was rescheduled. Even the final examination was not without controversy with at least 11 questions of the model exam being repeated. On March 20, the Kerala education department has to postpone the maths examination and the re-examination was conducted on March 30. Last year in 2016, the results were declared on 27 April and with pass percentage at 96.59% whereas this time percentage falls to 95.98.
