The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is all set to announce the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2017 results today. As per the update at the official results portal of Karnataka, the result will be announced after 1 pm today. The examination got a huge response from the aspirants who were to grant admission in professional educational institution in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2017-2018.
The examination was held on 2-3 May at 54 centres across the State. Students had appeared for the exam in two session. Kannada language test was held on 4 May for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted, every year, for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses.

It is always advised to all the students to take a print out of your result for future references.
Nearly 2 lakh students appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted in multiple choice format in maths, physics, biology and chemistry with 60 marks in each subject. Nearly 50,000 engineering seats are offered under the CET in various colleges in Karnataka.
KEA officials said that if the CET results were announced before the CBSE and ICSE results then it would have caused inconvenience to the students and it would have been double work for them. “Considering this, we decided to wait for three days,” the official was quoted as saying.
