Pervez Musharraf Pakistan’s former president says he supports LeT and Hafiz Saeed

Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf said he is the biggest supporter of Lashkar-e-Taiba. As per the reports, the former Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf while giving a statement to the Pakistan’s ARY News channel admitted that he supports Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa. Also said that militant group likes him too. While asking about the LeT’s founder and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, the former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf said he support Saeed and also supports his involvement in Kashmir. Also, Pervez Musharraf claimed Saeed was not involved in Mumbai Terror attack of 2008 because Saeed denied the charges.

However, It is the biggest setback for the Pakistan people as the leader of the country are now supporting the militant group that involved in various terrorist activities. Around a week ago Hafiz Saeed the founder of LeT and chief of Jammat-ud-Dawa (JuD) was released from the arrest of the Pakistan court.

In 2002, LeT is banned by the Musharraf government in Pakistan. Pervez Musharraf said at that time he did not know much about Hafiz Saeed and the situation at that time was different. He said he would not have banned the LeT group if he had known more about Saeed. The LeT is a biggest militant group that has declared as a terrorist group by the United States and India.
