Moroccan King offers Eid prayers

Rabat, Sep 1 (IANS/MAP) Moroccan King Mohammed VI accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, Prince Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Moulay Ismail on Friday offered prayers to mark the Eid al-Adha festival.

The Moroccan King performed the prayers at the Ahl Fez mosque in Meshuar and was greeted by heads of several Islamic diplomatic missions.

Following the ceremony, Mohammed VI returned to the Royal Palace while cannons fired customary shells to mark the advent of the day of festivities.

The King received good wishes from the head of government, the speakers of the two houses of Parliament and from top officials.
