Eid Milad-Un-Nabi: The Celebrations begin

Eid Milad-Un-Nabi is being celebrated around the world by the Muslim community. It is the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, and is celebrated by the Muslim section by fasting, singing songs in his honor and walking in processions on the streets. Eid Milad-Un-Nabi is  sacred to Muslim people, but because there is no historical record of the date of birth of Muhammad, it is contested between Wahhabism/Deobandism do not consider Eid Milad as a celebratory day. It is not celebrated in Saudi Arabia. It is considered a national holiday in Pakistan. The day begins with a 31 gun shot salute for the Muhammad in the capital city.

People have lit their homes and offices; even the official offices have been decorated for the auspicious day. Making the most of the beautiful decorations, people have also bought new clothes to wear and dresses for their relatives.

Various processions of people will be going through Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Abbotabad, Mansehra, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Astore, Skardu, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Jahanian and other places, in which people will be singing the praises of the prophet and congratulate each other on the occasion. It is a day of happiness and trying to make each other feel loved in the name of the lord.
