Norton motorcycles join kinetic group to sell assembled bikes in India

Norton motorcycles announced to join with India’s kinetic group and will sell Britain’s Norton Motorcycle in India. The Pune based brand already partners iconic brands such as MV Agusta and SWM in the Indian market. The two companies together, will form a new entity to cell and manufacture special bikes in India, called Kinetic Norton. Commando and the Dominator will be the first Kinetic Norton bikes to come to the Indian market. Both Norton Motorbikes are café racers and having 961 CC parallel-twin engine, it makes 79 bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque. These new assembled motorcycles will be brought to our showrooms via CBU route, the CKD assemble should be commenced by end of the year 2018. Moreover, the Norton will launch CBU versions by next three months in the Indian market, these will be special editions, imported and built in the UK.

The joint venture was in fact announced at the recently concluded 2017 EICMA Motorcycle Show by the signed a partnership from managing director of Kinetic Engineering, Ajinkya Firodia, and CEO of Norton Motorcycles, Stuart Garner.

Norton Motorcycles will be assembled at Kinetic’s manufacturing facility in the Indian market in Maharashtra.  Before coming to India, Nortan also retailed their bikes in other Asian markets, including Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
