JIO phone booking will open nationwide on 24 August, 2017. It is the first time ever in the country that a smartphone will be available on the refundable price of 1500. Online booking of the phone on reputed retailer websites will be available soon but as of today certain offline retailers have started taking orders from their valuable customers. According to the technology market experts this phone can be one of the fastest selling phones in the history especially for the lower middle and lower economical section of the society.
Upper middle and Rich class people have a very peculiar taste about their phones as it acts like an organ of the body but lower class needs a phone in the first place to develop that peculiarity. JIO mobile phones will be available in Metro cities and rural areas as well. Aadhar Number is a mandatory thing when it comes to buying the phone. One needs to go to an authentic JIO retailer whether it is a local store or Reliance store and submit the copy of Aadhar card which will be updated in a centralizing software leading to a token number given to customers.
An individual can only book one phone through one Aadhar number anywhere in the country, token number is necessary while receiving the phone. 1500 rupees needs to be submitted only when the mobile order is being received and not when Aadhar copy is being submitted. According to Reliance an individual can claim his sum of 1500 only after 36 months of phone usage. The first batch of phone delivery will be provided between September 1-4.
