MS Dhoni completed his 2nd T20I Half-century as a Wicket-Keeper

Former Indian-Skipper and legendary wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni(MSD) completed his second T20I’s half-century in limited over cricket yesterday at Centurion. By doing this, he becomes the first Indian batsman to score fastest fifty against South Africa in T20IS. Dhoni made his maiden T20I half-century against England in the third and the final T20 international match in Bangalore.He took 66 innings to complete this glory in T20I. In the second T20, India had started their innings very slow; they lost both the openers in the first power play and also lost their skipper Virat Kohli cheaply. Dhoni came into the crease after the Dismissal of Suresh Raina in 11th over.

Dhoni made an excellent partnership of 98 runs with Manish Pandey and guided India to set 189 as a target for winning the 2nd T20I. The captain Cool smashed boundaries all around the park. Dhoni made an additional achievement in this match “of scoring 100 boundaries in T20I Cricket”. He scored 52* runs in 28 balls by smashing four boundaries and three sixes in that ground. Dhoni completed his fifty in 27 balls and took India to a match-winning total. Although the team were failed to seal the series due to remarkable efforts of JP Duminy and Henry Klassen, but still team India succeeded to establish some new records in South Africa.

Dhoni scored a total of 44 sixes in T20Is and became the third highest wicketkeeper to achieve this level. Before Mohammad Shahzad (68) and Brendon McCullum (58), Dhoni (44) is now on No.3 Position. By scoring fifty in just 27 balls, he joins the club of scoring fastest-fifty by any Indian batsman against South Africa in T20Is with Shikhar Dhawan. We all know that he is the best Captain as well as the best Finisher in the world and he proves it again on yesterday night that why people call him “Captain Cool”.
