Sunrisers Hyderabad appointed Kane Williamson as their captain for the IPL 2018. Sunrisers CEO K. Shanmugam announced Williamson as their captain just after debarring of David Warner, who was the main victim of Bowl tampering scandal. For the captaincy, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and Manish Pandey were also in this race with NZ skipper Kane Williamson. Presently Williamson is leading the New Zealand team against England tour, and they have won the first test already. Williamson has not an excellent record in IPL, Even he is not a regular player of Sunrisers Hyderabad, but still, team management thinks that he can lead Hyderabad in the IPL 2018.
