India lost to Pakistan in a massive defeat of 180 runs, in an upset of the proportions of Greece claiming the Euro from the titans of European football, or the Indian cricket team thrashing West Indies for the World Cup crown in 83. Buried under a 300 plus score, it fell to the Indian batting lineup to prove their chops but they failed when it mattered the most, with most of the batting folding up under pressure. India could manage all of 158 in reply to Pakistan’s 338, with none of the stalwarts getting more than a spurious start. It was only the Gujarat all rounder Hardik Pandya who threatened the Pakistani bowling attack with some late theatrics, making 76 in just 43 balls, helping India recover from a teetering 76 for 6 to 152 before he was run out in the 26th over, in a very unfortunate misunderstanding with Ravindra Jadeja where they ended up on the same end of the crease.
Just after his dismissal. Twitter users witnessed this tweet from the obviously emotional and disillusioned Pandya, apparently blaming Jadeja for his dismissal.
“Hume to apno ne loota, gairo me kahan dum tha (We were robbed by our own, the others didn’t have the ability),” Pandya wrote.
With the team already under duress after the loss, as well as the incident with an overexcited Pakistani fan calling out “Ab baap kaun hai?” when the Indian team was walking back to the dressing room, leading to Mohammad Shami almost losing his cool and MS Dhoni stepping in to cool tempers, the Pandya tweet will be the end of the rope as the team prepares to leave for West Indies for a Test and ODI series.

However, the player later put a screenshot of the tweet on his Instagram page, tagging Jadeja in an apparent show of sportsmanship.
