FIFA WC 2018; End of Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo in World Cup

The football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have stalled in the FIFA World Cup (FIFA 2018). With the star forward Eddison Kawani’s two goals, Uruguay entered the next round after defeating Portugal 2-1 in the pre-quarterfinal match of the FIFA World Cup played late last night. After this, charismatic forward Lionel Messi’s dream of winning the World Cup was also incomplete. Messi led Argentina also defeated by Uruguay by 2-1 and also knocked out from the FIFA WC 2018. Edison Kawani scored important goals in the seventh and 62nd minutes against the current European champions in the exciting encounter played at the Fisht Stadium. Pepe scored the only goal for Portugal in the 55th minute with the header.

In the quarter-finals, 1998 World Cup winner Uruguay will be played against France. France beat Argentina by 4-3 in the pre-quarterfinal match played on Saturday. Star forward Edison Kawani scored two goals for Uruguay, while Pepe scored the only goal for the current European champion Portugal. The two teams made a strong start in the match played at the Fishst Stadium, but Uruguay managed to score the first goal due to the duo of Star Forward Kawani and Luis Suarez.

Portugal has not lost their patience even after being surpassed by one goal. Defender Jose Fonte placed headers on the corner to Portugal in the 11th minute but he could not make the ball in the goal. Uruguay got the chance to double their lead in the 22nd minute. The Portuguese team managed to score a goal in the second half within ten minutes. Portugal got a corner in the 55th minute and on the cross of Defender Raphael Guerrero, Pepe put the brilliant header and scored the first goal of the match for his team. At the last minute of the match, Portugal did not succeed to score an equalizing goal.
