Indian Schedule on Day 8 at Commonwealth Games(After 9:30 AM IST)

1:40 PM IST- That was easy pickings for Kiran. Some solid handwork allowed Kiran to pin her opponent down repeatedly. She wins the match by technical superiority.

1:30 PM IST-Kiran is off the mark, gets two points in the opening of the match. Her Mauritian opponent is fighting at the moment. Kiran gets an extra takedown. She leads 6-0.

1:00 PM IST- Rahul Aware beats Steve Takahashi 15-7 to win the gold medal in Men’s 57kg Freestyle wrestling. Rahul Takes the Indian flag around himself and rakes in the loud chants from a packed arena. One can hear, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” chants in a Gold Coast arena!

12:50 PM IST- Rahul Aware vs Steven Takahashi underway in the 57kg freestyle wrestling category. Brilliant stuff by Aware to flip Takahashi over. Came out of nowhere and created little time to react. But the Canadian returns with four points of his own. He leads 4-2 now with a minute left in the period. Rahul levels matters by adding two points and then two more to take the lead. Brilliant final 20 seconds for Rahul there. He leads 6-4 after the first period

12:40 PM IST- Babita Kumari loses 2-5 to Diana Weicker and gets the silver medal in the 53kg Nordic Style event. Had little look against an extremely strong and powerful Canadian. Wins a Bronze Medal for India

12:35 PM IST- Both wrestlers enter the ring. Both have been completely dominant so far. Babita with 13 points, Weicker with 12. Very evenly matched early on, little to separate the two. Weicker gets the first point after Babita fails to get the required point on the shot clock. At the end of the first period, Weicker leading with 1-0
