On Monday, Mamta Banerjee slammed over GST termed it as Great Selfish Tax. After the statement of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi over GST who dubbed it as Gabbar Singh Tax, now Mamta Banerjee came over with new term for GST. On Twitter today West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee criticised Demonetisation and GST the Goods and Services tax with series of tweets. Just a two days before the anti-black money day which is going to be observed on the day of demonetisation first anniversary. She described demonetisation as the move to ban high currency notes as the disaster.
Mamta Banerjee asked people to change their perspective to change their profile picture on Twitter to protest against demonetisation initiative of BJP. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the initiative of demonetisation to demolish corruption from India and to take out all the black money of the Country. However, this initiative has been criticised by the opposition.
The BJP initiatives as GST and demonetisation has faced stiff opposition. Today, Mamta Banerjee said demonetisation was a disaster and termed GST as Great Selfish Tax to harass the people. She said GST has been implemented by the government to hurt businesses, to take away jobs and to finish the economy. Also, the government has failed to tackle the GST. She tweeted to challenge and to protest against the demonetisation on 8th November.
