The voting in Himachal would start on the 9th of November 2017 and the counting will take place on the 18th December. Election Commission has announced the election process in Himachal Pradesh and it seems that they would be using some methods that haven’t been utilized before in elections. The elections will be conducted by the use of EVMs with the help of VVPAT (Voter-Verified paper audit) for the first time. A videography of the election and voting would be made so that there aren’t any cheating or any tampering with the votes that are being given by the people.
The people would need to carry their ID cards and voter Id cards for the election process so that there can be positive authentication of the person who is presenting himself/herself at the polling booth.
