Gujarat Election 2017: Updates on Rahul Gandhi’s press conference in Ahmedabad

Rahul Gandhi is addressing his first press conference as Congress president in Ahmedabad on the last day of campaigning for the ongoing Gujarat Assembly elections. The second and final phase of voting is going to polls on December 14. The roadshow of Rahul Gandhi was planned through the old city while The route of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was through the newer parts of Ahmedabad, across the river. During the press conference, the Congress has kept its focus on the issue of small and medium enterprises, farmers, unemployment of Gujarat. “For the last 3 months our party has tried to give a vision to Gujarat”, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said on last day of the campaign in Gujarat.

He also said that “We started meeting people in Gujarat. We prepared a vision for Gujarat. We roped in Sam Pitroda from the U.S.” he further said about the BJP and prime minister,  that Bhartiya Janta Party has been unable to maintain its position in these elections, either the prime minister is talking about himself or the Congress.

Rahul said all the communities are angry with the same government in the country. As Patidars are angry, SCs are angry, and OBCs are also angry with the BJP government in the state.

Moreover, Gandhi also said that We are touring Gujarat for the past 3-4 months and We have found that Prime minister Modi Ji and Vijay Rupani have done one-sided development in Gujarat in last 22 years. And the 90% of schools and colleges have been privatized in last 22 years under the rule of BJP in the state.

“My priority as the president of Congress is to strengthen the party and My aim is to improve the political discourse which is currently present in the country, further said Rahul Gandhi as a new president of Congress party.
