Newton actor Rajkumar Rao celebrates his 32nd birthday today with a retrospect of his career

Started his career with Love Sex aur Dhokha in 2010, Gangs of Wasseypur II became his game changer. He essayed the role of an antagonist by the name of Shamshad Alam. His role in the film was widely appreciated with the film and Rao became a name in film circuit.

Released in 2013, Kai Po Che became a break-out film for 3 very promosing new comers. Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rao made one of the best film of Indian cinema. Though Rajput stole most of the limelight, Rao was nominated for the best supporting actor filmfare award.

Director of Shahid, Hansal Mehta and Rao are perhaps the most appreciated actor-director combination in Hindi cinema. Rao essayed the role of Shahid Azmi and won his first National Award. Rao became a very interesting name for those who truly admire great content cinema.

In 2014 Rao again collaborated with Mehta to make a masterpiece called Citylights. He performed the role of a migrant worker in Mumbai who gets magneted towards the world of crime. It is amazing how he manages to completely disguise himself as these complex characters and shows the extreme layer of human psyche.

In his latest release Bareilly Ki Barfi, he tickled his funny bone and how. Amitabh Bachchan sent him a hand-written letter appreciating his brilliantly entertaining performance. Some are calling this the Hindi film of the year so far. He was magical in Trapped directed by Vikram Aditya Motwane.

Newton is his upcoming release. Rao portrays the role of an idealistic honest government clerk who wants to conduct free and fair elections in the naxalite area of Chattisgarh. Newton will release on 22 September, 2017.
