Malaika Arora Khan’s first dance number was in Dil Se 1998. Music of the film composed by A.R Rahman became a huge hit worldwide and Chaiyaan Chaiyaan played in every world tour since then. Starring Shahrukh Khan and Directed by Mani Ratnam Dil Se released in Telugu as well. Chaiyaan Chaiyaan gave her the platform that has never been gotten by any dance girl.
Maahi Ve in Kaante was released in 2002. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan the song became a rage among the youth. Kaante starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt was the remake of a Hollywood film Reservoir Dogs and proved to be a big commercial success.
Kaal was one of the biggest film of 2005 as it was produced by Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan and starred Ajay Devgan, John Abraham and many others. Kaal Dhamaal was shot as a promotional song with Shahrukh and Malaika dancing together. Song was sung by Kunal Ganjawala and despite the fact that it had no female singer in it, Malaika’s performance was deeply appreciated.
Munni Badnaam was the sensation of 2010. Dabangg became the highest grosser of the year and this song played from party to elections. Munni Badnaam is probably the most loved item number of all time. Arbaaz Khan and Malaika also served as a producer in this venture directed by Abhinav Kashyap.
Anarkali Disco Chali was the part of 2012 mega-hit Housefull 2. Directed by Sajid Khan, the film has an ensemble star-cast of Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others. malaika Arora’s performance with Mithun Chakraborty was highly enjoyable.
So far, Fashion Khatam Mujh par from Dolly ki Doli in 2015 is her last film appearence. Fashion Khatam Mujh par did not prove to be a highly popular or enjoyable song. Post this song Malaika has gone through up’s and down’s in her personal life including divorce with Arbaaz Khan. Her next dance performance is still awaited.
