Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival being celebrated by the people of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Goa and many more. It is a Hindu festival which reverses Lord Ganesha. It is a 10 day festival and falls in the month of August or September. After keeping the idol of Lord Ganesha in the homes, people immerse the idol and it is a great affair of enjoyment for the people and at the same time, it is a moment of sadness as people have to immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha after keeping it in their homes and worshipping it.
After celebrating the the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, now the people of Tamil Nadu, Maharshtra are now immersing the idol of Lord Ganesha. People play with colors and flowers and dance wholeheartedly.

During the visarjan and procession time, people perform Koli dance which is a traditional dance of the fishermen, at the Lalbaughcha Raja pandal in central Mumbai before the ‘visarjan’ procession began.
