Bareilly ki Barfi is a Hindi film going to release on 18August 2017. It is the first time when any of these 3 are going to work together. They are 3 very different energy, while Khurana and Rao still coming from content driven cinema, Sanon is again playing her cards on the commercial viability of this film. Trailer of the film was released a few weeks ago to largely positive response but not positive enough to make it a superhit. Film has mediocrity written all over it and on its tickets as well.
Rao is coming out of highly acclaimed Trapped, where he got success. In his attempt to go the mindless commercial way in Behen Hogi Teri, he was inches away from losing the credibility and getting stereotyped. His further projects would work as an insurance caused by this potential damage.
Khurana is coming straight out of Meri Pyaari Bindu, a film with a beautiful plot but destroyed in the lousy screenplay. Khurana also has his insurance by the name of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan coming 2 weeks after Bareilly ki Barfi.
As all 3 have very different dynamics on screen, its Rao who has come to the side of Khurana and Sanon because god knows Sanon can’t do anything else but look pretty. Sanon is the quintessential wastage Hindi film heroine that we were happy to loose in the 90’s but bad history often repeats itself. Khurana on the other way is just confused and its about time he realizes that he is not exactly a star and he needs content to drive his films.
Bareilly ki Barfi has all those songs which K.Asif rejected for Mughal-E-Azam because they were outdated for 1950’s even. The sound of this film has absolutely nothing to it and the album is called thriving on mediocrity.
In her filmography, Wikipedia does not show any film after Bareilly ki Barfi and therefore Wikipedia is loved by many. She does not seem to have an insurance of her career through films because for that she needed to have a career in films at the first place. She could be a fantastic model given her appearance but one has to be a thinking personna to become an actor. A film like Bareilly ki Barfi will release and go without anyone giving a care.
