Sad demise of the vetaran actor Vinod Khanna- The end of an era

The vetaran bollywood actor, Vinod Khanna took his last breath today at 11:20 am. As per rumours, the 70 year actor was suffering from cancer. Recently a picture of him went viral in which he was looking very lean and weak. Vinod Khanna took his last breath in the Reliance Foundation Hospital. On 31st March, Khanna was admitted at the hospital and doctor said that he is suffering from dehydration.

Vinod Khann was blessed with two sons Akshay Khanna and Rahul khanna and who are actors in the bollywood industry too. Khanna started his career in 1968 with the movie ‘Mann Ki Baat’. With this he did lots of movies like Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Imtahaan, Inkaar, Amar Akhbar Anthony, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Kurbaani, Dayavaan and Jurm and he was known for his great acting skills.

Vinod Khann was last seen in the movie “Dilwale” in 2015. Khanna joined politics in 1997 and got elected from Gurdaspur on a BJP ticket in the next year’s Lok Sabha poll. Later, during the time of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government he became Union minister for culture and tourism in 2002. Later, he became a minister of state in the Ministry of External Affairs. Khanna lost the 2009 election, but was elected again from Gurdaspur in 2014.

Vinod Khanna received the Filmfare award in the best supporting actor category for Haath Ki Safaai, and in 1999 he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, and again in 2007 he won a lifetime achievement award at the Zee Cine Awards.

After such an impressive career, in 1982 he took a break from work to join his guru Osho Rajneesh at his ashram. He gave up films altogether in that period. After a five-year break from work, he started signing films again and gave two superhits, Insaaf and Satyamev Jayate.

He was also inspired by the institution for Art of Living and often visited Shri Shri Ravishankar

In his last days he was surrounded by all his children and wife Kavita. Many of his fans tweeted about this great man giving condolence:
