Every generation is excited for the holi festival as it marks the victory of good over evil. Different places celebrate different types of holi. The most common holi is of the Vrindavan and Mathura holi. Most popular types of holi are of Braj ki Holi, in this the traditional holi is witnessed and this type of holi is seen in Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana and Nandgaon. This last for about 1 month. The main thing that attracts to this place is the scenario of the place.

Kumaoni Holi is the popular type of holi of Uttarakhand. This type of holi is mainly famous for Kumauni people. This holi is celebrated for two months. This holi is celebrated in various forms mainly in the musical gathering form. Bhojpuri Holi is also a type of holi that is mainly celebrated with bhaang. This festival is celebrated mainly with the bhojpuri style. Haryanvi Holi, is a type of holi which is mainly played by the people of Haryana. Haryanvi holi is mainly known as the Bhabhi-devar holi. Bengali Holi is known as Dol Purnima, Bengal and Orissa. Here holi is played with most cleaned way by the dry colors.
