Today, watch night will be held in every church with the prayer on the Christmas day, which is known to be the festival of food and fun. On this day there are almost a holidays all over the world. It is celebrated on December 25 every year and ‘Merry Christmas’ will be echoed at 12 midnight on December 24. Along with this, the sweetness of Christmas cake will dissolve in the house and the church. On Saturday the decorations of the churches were finalized. The cake making and Christmas tree decoration continued for the whole day. There was a lot of enthusiasm in the markets too. Christmas day marks the birthday of Jesus Christ and is celebrated by millions of people in all around the world.

Christmas trees are not part of an Italian tradition but they are getting more popular every where. In addition to the tree in Saint Peter’s Square, other two largest Christmas trees in Rome are usually erected in Piazza Venezia and next to the Colosseum. Small Christmas trees are also displayed at shops, hotels, and restaurants.

On this day people exchange gifts, sweets, cards and best wishes with their friends and families. They celebrate this festival in churches and organize events or parties in their house.
