Smoking is injurious to health but still who get addicted can’t able stop smoking easily. Nicotine is the chemical that makes cigarettes and smoking so hard to quit. Nicotine is a stimulant that can block nerve and muscle cells from proper functioning.

Nicotine can raise heartbeat, blood pressure and can even increase the risk of a stroke. If smoker quit the addiction with hard efforts, the effects of nicotine will remain in the body for longer. And when nicotine is in the body, it makes to take more nicotine through different sources due to dependency on the drug.

It would be introduce to the people who have decided to quit smoking that they can flush out nicotine from their body to some extent by having healthy foods and by changing their lifestyle.

Vitamin C, E and A can protect the lungs from damage and smoking reduces the amount of these vitamins from body. There are various fruits and vegetable will be known as rich in vitamin C,E and A which can help to maintain these vitamin in our body such as; Broccoli, carrots, almonds, spinach, olives, bell peppers, dark leafy greens, paprika, lettuce, dried herbs, and guava. Vitamin B5 is known as an anti-stress vitamin as it increases the production of hormones that can help to fight with depression.

Some basic steps to detox 

  • Clean up your entire toxic load. This means abstaining from tobacco products, of course, along with alcohol, caffeine and processed foods with lots of added sugar and saturated fats.
  • There will be the chance of irritability, anxiety, headaches, insomnia and depression after smoking. So expect these symptoms and try to tolerate these for some time to eliminate nicotine and the other toxins from body.
  • Don’t skip meals and Keep your mouth busy between meals with vegetable sticks, sugar free gum and candy.

Broccoli

Broccoli is a green vegetable, rich source of vitamin C and B5.  It helps to maintain level of these vitamins and to reduce nicotine from body.
Oranges

Citrus fruits are rich source of vitamin C. Intake of oranges directly or orange juice can boost the body metabolism and de-stress our body.

Carrot

Nicotine damages skin and also makes you dull as it remain in body after quitting the smoking. Carrots are good for skin and also rich in vitamins A, B, C, and K that helps remove nicotine from the body system.

Green leafy vegetables

Spinach is a dark green leafy vegetable which is rich in vitamins and also rich in folic acids. Other green leafy vegetables, such as beet greens, along with the green herbs of parsley and cilantro, have nutrients that help strengthen the liver and help our digestive system.

Pomegranate

The red and juicy pomegranate helps to increase blood circulation and blood cells count in the body, and reduce nicotine from the body.

Kiwi

Kiwi is rich in vitamin A, C and E which is known as miracle fruit, helps to flush out nicotine from the body.

Berries

Berries like strawberries helps to eliminate nicotine and other harmful toxins from the body.

Smoking leads to dehydration. According to many researchers, smokers can quit smoking and reduce nicotine from the body by drinking plenty of water.

Foods such as artichoke, asparagus, beets, celery and dandelion-root tea also contain large amounts of fiber and help heal a liver overloaded with nicotine.
