Ganesh Lord is Hindu’s most worshipped God. He is popularly known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Ganesha all over India. Ganesha or Vinayaka majorly worshipped in the regions across India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Nepal. Lord Ganesh was the son of Shiva and Parvati. And Purani Hindu myth gave different versions about his birth some says he was created by Parvati while some say he was created by Shiva. Since early stages, he has been represented with the head of an elephant in Indian art and puranic myths made many stories for how he got his elephant head.
Ganesh is known with 108 different names all over India with a lord of arts, sciences and the deva of wisdom. As per Puranic mythology, Lord Ganesha honored at the beginning of rituals and any ceremonies. He considered as the symbol of Good luck and wisdom.
Lord Ganesha worshipped before the beginning of every festive occasion and most worshiped deities in Hindu religion. And Modak is the most favorite food lord Ganesh. On the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, he is offered especially with modaks.
Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest festivals for Hindu’s dedicated to the birthday of Lord Ganesh. Everyone celebrates this auspicious festival for ten days and welcomes Lord Ganesh to their home with songs, dance, sweets, drums, and prayer.
Ganesh Chaturthi is the annual festival that gives honors to Lord Ganesh. This year in 2017 Ganesh Chaturthi coming for 11 days because of the Dasmati date. Everyone gear up for the preparations of Ganesh Chaturthi to welcome Lord Ganesh to their home. This festival typically falls in late August or early September.
