Diwali is an extreamly important Hindu festival of India. according to Hindu calendar, it falls on Amavasya of Kartik month. this year Diwali is observed on 19 October. The word “Deepawali” consists of two words, Deep means “light” and the word avail means “a row” so, Deepawali means “a row of lights”. Diwali is the biggest festival celebrated by Indians both in the country as well as in abroad. Diwali is celebrated as mark the return of Lord Rama and Mata Sita with Laxman after exiles of 14 years to their kingdom Ayodhya. People celebrate Deepawali by giving gifts to their friends and relatives.
