Chaitra Navratri 2018: Second day of Navratri

Chaitra Navratri had already begun on March 18 and will continue till March 26. Each day of Navratri has some significance. Each day is dedicated to some Goddess and each day marks its different presence. On this day, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped. She is the second avatar of Goddess Durga. She provides us with love and loyalty, wisdom and knowledge. She is a Goddess who enriches our soul with all the qualities. She holds rose in her hand and Kamandal in the other hand. She wears the Rudraksha. She was determined to obtain Lord Shiva. She had spent the maximum of years without eating anything.

She blesses everyone with great wisdom and strength. She has a power of making everyone calm. The Goddess is bathed in flowers, rice, sandalwood. These are some of the things which are necessary for the worship of the Goddess. Brahma means “tapa”and Charini means observer, thus it is name of the one who observes penance. She is usually seen in mediation. She chants the name of Lord Shiva. She wants to take Lord Shiva. For fulfilling her wishes, she is determined.

She is the second avatar of Goddess Durga. The Goddess is quite silent. The Goddess is also known by the name of Tapashcharini, Aparna and Uma. On the second day of Navratri, people also observe fast and on this day, many people go and worship the second avatar of Goddess. Calmness and patience is highly seen in this Goddess. On this day, people who keep fast go to Temple and eat the Sattvik food. This day, many people just do meditation. She was often worshipped when she was doing meditation. She brings prosperity and loyalty at home.
